Insurance

I am an in-network and preferred provider for, Tricare West, VA TriWest, and Aetna. I accept all insurance and will file your insurance claims for you.

I am not contracted with Medicare or Medicaid at this time and am out-of-network with all other insurance companies unless otherwise specified.

Depending on your current health insurance provider or employee benefit plan, it is possible for services to be covered in full or in part. Please contact your insurance provider to verify how your plan compensates you for mental health care and services.

I recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

  • Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?
  • What is the difference in payment for in-network and out-of-network?
  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met it yet?
  • Do I have coinsurance or a co-pay? If so, what is it and what will I have to pay at time of service?
  • Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?
  • Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?

Rates

Rates for services are posted in the office and are provided on new patient paperwork. Rates for services are also available upon request so please do not hesitate to ask. Our goal is to provide the most comprehensive and quality care possible at an affordable rate to all patients. We desire for all patients to have available and accessible to them, the mental health services they require without the worry of the cost and how they will afford it.

Payment

I accept cash, check and all major credit cards as forms of payment. If you are self-pay, payment is due in full at time of service unless other arrangements have been made. If you have insurance, your portion of insurance is due at time of service unless other arrangements have been made.

Cancellation Policy

If you are unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please make sure you cancel at least 24 hours before the time of your appointment. Otherwise, you will be charged for the full rate of the session. It is understood that if you are ill, you may not be able to provide 24 hours’ notice and so this would be an exception to being charged for your missed appointment. Insurance companies do not cover fees for missed appointments.

COVID-19 Precautions

We take the coronavirus very seriously and take all precautions to keep our patients and our providers safe. We thoroughly disinfect common surfaces in between patients daily and will complete a full set of vital signs upon entry to the office. We ask that if you have been exposed to COVID-19, if you have cold or flu like symptoms, are running a fever, or are otherwise ill, that you please call to reschedule your appointment and remain at home until you have a negative COVID-19 test or are free of symptoms for 14 days. Another option for those experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or are otherwise ill is the option of telepsychiatry. Please ask us about this option if you are interested in this type of care. We appreciate your understanding during these trying times of the global pandemic.
